Alaska Airlines has announced that 43-year airline industry veteran Shelly Parker has been named head of Hawai‘i guest operations for Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines. She will work closely with Hawai‘i-based airport and in-flight teams to deliver an elevated guest experience.

PSA has announced that amid continued growth, they have appointed Chris McCartney as the carrier’s first-ever Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. McCartney Joins PSA from Allegiant Travel Company, where he served as SVP of Maintenance and Engineering.

The Supervisory Board of AirBaltic has appointed Erno Hildén as the carrier’s new Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2025.  A Finnish National, Mr. Hildén brings over 25 years of international experience in aviation and finance.

Air New Zealand has announced the appointment of Nikhil Ravishankar as the airline’s next Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Greg Foran, who will step down in October after nearly leading the airline for nearly six years.

FedEx Corporation has announced the death of their visionary Founder, Executive Chairman, and long-time Chairman and CEO, Frederick Wallace Smith at age 80. Mr. Smith died of natural causes on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Memphis Tennessee.
