Fiji Airways Appoints Paul Scurrah as Managing Director and CEO

Fiji Airways has announced the appointment of Paul Scurrah as Managing Director and CEO effective November 1, 2025. Mr. Scurrah most recently served as CEO of Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail freight company.

On Monday (October 27, 2025), Fiji Airways announced that Paul Scurrah has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective November 1, 2025. Mr. Scurrah will succeed Andre Viljoen, who will take on a new role at Air Mauritius, while remaining on the Fiji Airways Board. Paul Scurrah brings over two decades of executive experience across aviation, transport, logistics and tourism. Most recently, he served as CEO of Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail freight company. Previously, he served a CEO of Virgin Australia, the country’s second-largest airline.
In Monday’s announcement, Fiji Airways Group’s Chairman, Mr. Nalin Patel, said in part,

Mr. Scurrah’s earlier career includes roles at Queensland Rail and DP World Australia, where he spearheaded large-scale infrastructure upgrades and operational improvements. He also held executive roles in customer service, sales and distribution in the airline industry, including being a founding executive and investor in Rex Airlines, Australia’s largest independent regional airline. This appointment follows a comprehensive internal, national and global search process.
