From September 2025, QantasLink will launch new service from Perth to Newcastle and Hobart, offering further support for the Western Australia resource sector, and greater connectivity for WA travelers.

Air Seychelles welcomed their inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi on Saturday, May 24th, following a six-year hiatus of Middle East operations.  The arrival was marked by a traditional water cannon salute and welcome ceremony.

Air Transat has announced that they will extend service from Montreal to Bordeaux and Valencia for winter 2025/26.  Previously offered only in summer, these flights will now operate weekly from February with an Airbus A321LR.

LOT Polish Airlines has today announced the opening of ticket sales for their new service between Warsaw and Malaga, which will start on January 15, 2026.

Avianca has launched new nonstop service between Bogotá and Dallas-Fort Worth. The route will now operate four times weekly with a 180-seat Airbus A320, providing over 1,400 seats per week. With the Dallas service, Avianca now offers 19 direct routes to the U.S.

Air New Zealand is increasing regional connectivity with new jet service between Hamilton and Christchurch.  Starting September 18, 2025, select services will be operated with a 171-seat Airbus A320, marking the first jet service to Hamilton in 25 years.

JetBlue has inaugurated new daily nonstop seasonal services from Boston to Madrid and Edinburgh, expanding the carrier’s transatlantic offer from Boston to seven destinations. The new seasonal routes will operate through October 25, 2025.

Frontier Airlines is launching three new routes from Atlanta this week.  Service to Oklahoma City launched today ( Thursday, May 22nd), while flights to Kansas City will begin tomorrow, and service between Atlanta and Aruba will start on Saturday, May 24th. 

Starting November 11, 2025, Cathay Pacific will resume seasonal service between Hong Kong and Adelaide.  The route will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A350-900 featuring Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins.

Delta has launched new direct service between New York-JFK and Catania, marking the carrier’s first-ever flights to Sicily, and the only nonstop service between the U.S. and Catania.

Avelo Airlines has launched new nonstop service between Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, New York and Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in the Charlotte area in North Carolina.

Air Transat has announced the launch of new twice weekly service between Toronto and Medellín via Cartagena, connecting Canadian’s with one of Colombia’s most dynamic and mountainous cities, while improving access to Cartagena. 

Lufthansa Group has published their schedule for the upcoming winter season.  The schedule features more Allegris connections than ever, including flights from Munich to New York, Chicago, Miami, Shanghai, Cape Town, Bengaluru and Tokyo.

From January 2026, Aer Lingus will start new nonstop service between Dublin and Cancún, Mexico.  The route will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A330-300, with service from January 6th through April 2026.

WestJet has today announced the return on nonstop service between Edmonton International Airport and Kamloops, B.C., as well as the launch of new service to Prince George, B.C. Starting July, WestJet Encore will operate both routes twice weekly.

From October 2025, Qantas will launch new service between Adelaide and Auckland, marking the return of direct international flying from South Australia.  The carrier has also opened a new Domestic Business Lounge in Adelaide.

Air Canada has today completed their inaugural flight between Montréal and Naples, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. This is the carrier’s first route to Naples, and fourth direct connection between Canada and Italy.

Air Transat will fly south from three new winter cities for winter 2025/2026, including Windsor, Charlottetown and Fredericton.  Travelers from Windsor will enjoy service to Punta Cana, while those from Charlottetown and Fredericton will have access to Cancún.

Edelweiss’ first long-haul Airbus A350-900 flight took to the skies on Thursday (May 15th), with 200 passengers to Las Vegas.  The carrier’s second A350 will be deployed on daily Zurich-Vancouver service from July 2025.
