Norwegian Air Shuttle has today announced the launch of 10 new routes from Billund Airport in Denmark, increasing direct flights from five to 15 popular European destinations.

On Wednesday (October 1st, 2025), Norwegian air shuttle announced the launch of ten new routes from Billund Airport in Denmark, including service to Barcelona, Bergamo, Chania, Edinburgh, Rome, Gran Canaria, Malta, Naples, Nice and Porto. These join already attractive Norwegian destinations such as Málaga, Alicante, Oslo, London and Palma de Mallorca. Billund and the surrounding region is both an attractive tourist destination for travelers from all over the world, as well as an area with a strong and active business community.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Norwegian’s CEO, Geir Karlsen, said,
“Travel should be easy. With ten new direct routes from Billund, we are responding to the clear demand from the Danes, while also strengthening accessibility to and from a region that is important for both tourism and business. Denmark is one of our most important markets, and therefore it is completely natural for us to invest heavily in Billund.”
Also commenting on Norwegian’s network expansion, Billund Airport’s CEO, Jan Hessellund, said,
“We can now present a varied and strong route map with a number of well-known destinations, which our travelers have long requested. At the same time, these new routes will attract even more tourists to our region. This is a big plus for our own attractions such as LEGO House and LEGOLAND. We are very pleased that our close cooperation with Norwegian is now resulting in such a comprehensive expansion. Norwegian is a solid and well-known airline.”
