On Wednesday (October 8, 2025), Air Transat announced an expansion of their summer 2026 flying program with three new international routes and the extension of select southern routes to year-round service.  The carrier will launch new service from Quebec City to Marseille, and between Ottawa and London Gatwick.  Additionally, new service between Quebec City and Fort-de-France launching this winter will be extended into the summer season.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Sebastian Ponce, said,

“Our summer 2026 is already shaping up to be exceptional.  We’re accelerating our growth in Quebec City, launching our first transatlantic route from Ottawa, and expanding our international connections.  This is just the beginning of a season full of exciting new developments.”

The new route between Quebec City and Marseille will operate once weekly on Thursdays from May 21st through October 8, 2026.  This new, exclusive route offers a unique gateway to the south of France and complements the carrier’s existing Quebec City–Paris route. Additionally, the new Quebec City–Fort-de-France service, which is set to launch on December 14, 2025, will be extended over the summer with one weekly flight on Mondays, providing year-round access to Martinique.

Air Transat will also offer non-stop transatlantic flights for the first time from Ottawa to London-Gatwick, starting on 15 May 2026.  The route will operate three times weekly on Fridays, Sundays and Tuesdays.  Additionally, a new Ottawa–Montreal route will be available from May 5th through October 23, 2026.  This development is driven by the growing network of Air Transat’s partner, Porter Airlines, which is consolidating Ottawa as a major hub in eastern Canada.

For summer 2026, Air Transat will also convert several popular seasonal routes to year-round.  The Montreal-Cartagena route will operate once weekly on Thursdays and also be extended to Medellín, while flights between Montreal and Pointe-à-Pitre will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  Service between Montreal and San José will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, while Toronto-Cartagena-Medellin flights will operate once weekly on Wednesdays.
