Porter Airlines Launches Four New Routes, Increases Capacity to Sunny Destinations by 25 Percent

For winter 2025/26, Porter Airlines will launch first-ever transborder service from Vancouver to Phoenix, and add new service from Ottawa to Phoenix and Miami.  The carrier will also launch new service between Montreal and Nassau.

On Wednesday (October 1st, 2025), Porter Airlines is announced a significant expansion of their winter 2025/26 winter schedule, increasing flights to southern destinations by up to 25 percent, and adding four new routes.  This includes Porter’s first-ever transborder service from Vancouver (YVR) with direct service to Phoenix (PHX).  The carrier is also adding new routes from Ottawa, with flights to Phoenix (PHX) and Miami (MIA), major hubs for American Airlines, a new codeshare partner.  Additionally, Porter will expand their Caribbean network with new service between Montreal (YUL) and Nassau (NAS) in the Bahamas.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ President, Kevin Jackson, said,


“Our updated winter schedule represents a major expansion of Porter’s network due to the strong response from customers for our new and existing sun markets.  We are supporting this demand with new routes and increased frequency on existing popular destinations.  We are committed to bringing our elevated economy experience to more travellers by connecting key gateways with sun destinations at the time of year when these trips are most valued by Canadians.  This growth is about offering more choices, more convenience, and the outstanding service our passengers have come to expect from Porter.”

Porter Airlines is also increasing capacity from Ottawa (YOW) to Grand Cayman (GCM), Liberia Costa Rica (LIR), and Puerto Vallarta, from Hamilton (YHM) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Cancun (CUN), Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).


Guests traveling on Porter’s new 132-seat E195-E2s will enjoy an elevated onboard economy service with complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, free premium snacks, as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.  PorterReserve fares also include priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium mixed cocktails, and fresh, heathy meals.  These ancillaries can also be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.
