American Airlines is preparing to open their new Flagship® and Admirals Club® lounges in Terminal A-West this summer at Philadelphia International Airport. Both spaces will bring next-level food and beverage experiences to guests.

WestJet has today announced that Delta and Korean Air will acquire independent equity stakes in the carrier for US $550 million from Onex Partners and its affiliated funds and co-investors.

Air Canada has reported a first quarter 2025 net loss of $102 million or ($0.40) per diluted share, on a 1.0 percent year-over-year decline in revenue to $5.2 billion.  At March 31, 2025, Air Canada had cash, cash equivalents and short and investments totaling $8.06 billion.

IAG has ordered 53 new Boeing and Airbus long-hail aircraft, including 32 Boeing 787-10s for British Airways and 21 Airbus A330-900neos which will be deployed across Aer Lingus, Iberia or Level.  The carrier has also announced their first quarter 2025 financial results.

Norwegian Group has reported a first quarter 2025 net loss of NOK 756.5 (US $72.5 million) on a 7.0 year-over-year increase in revenue to NOK 6.58 billion ($630.6 million).  At March 31, 2025, the company had cash and equivalents totaling NOK 10.5 billion (US $1.0 billion).

Lufthansa Cargo, along with subsidiaries CB Customs Broker and heyworld, and its partner Swiss WorldCargo will exhibit at Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich, which will take place from June 2nd through June 5, 2025.

Emirates has reported a record fiscal 2024/25 net profit of AED 22.7 billion (US $6.2 billion) on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 6.0 percent to AED 145.4 billion (US $39.6 billion). The Group ended the financial year with AED 53.4 billion (US $14.6 billion) in cash.

Boeing has today announced that China Airlines has become the newest 777X customer with an order for 10 777-9 and four 777-8 Freighter jets. The carrier will use the added capacity and range on long-haul routes to North America and Europe.

Cathay Pacific has today announced the reopening of their redesigned The Bridge Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport.  This marks the first stage of the carrier’s wide-ranging lounge enhancement plan at their home hub.

Air Canada has today announced the renewal of their partnership with The Landline Company for Luxury Motorcoach intermodal land-air connections in Southern Ontario. The popular service seamlessly links the Waterloo Region, Hamilton and Toronto Airports.

For summer 2025, Frontier Airlines will launch new service between Baltimore and Chicago O’Hare, as well as between Trenton, N.J. and Myrtle Beach, S.C.  In celebration of the new routes, one-way fares are now bookable from $49.

Air Lease Corporation has reported a first quarter 2025 net profit of $364.8 million or $3.26 per diluted share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 11.3 percent to $738.3 million.

Starting July 30, 2025, Emirates will launch new daily service between Dubai and Hangzhou. The route will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER featuring eight First Class suites, 42 angle-flat Business Class seats and 304 ergonomically designed Economy Class seats.

United Airlines has today announced an investment in Twelve, a company offering technology that offers an industrial alternative to photosynthesis, transforming carbon and water inputs for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

American Airlines has announced the launch of new service between Los Angeles and Brisbane, complementing service operated by Qantas. American will also resume seasonal service between Dallas-Fort Worth and Brisbane with their newly-designed Boeing 787-9.

Embraer has reported a first quarter 2025 net profit of $73.4 million or $0.40 per ADS share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 23 percent to $1.1 billion, the company’s best first quarter result since 2016.

Air Canada will add 16 percent more capacity to Latin America for the winter 2025/26 season with four new destinations and 13 new routes. The new destinations include Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara.

JetBlue has today announced that SKY Leasing, a leading aviation investment manager, has acquired JetBlue Ventures, the airline’s venture capital subsidiary. Founded in 2016, JetBlue Ventures has invested in 55 early-stage startups.

Emirates has today announced an expansion of their partnership with AEGEAN Group to offer reciprocal loyalty benefits.  Emirates Skywards members and AEGEAN Miles+Bonus members can now earn and redeem miles when flying on either airline.

JetBlue has appointed Vijay Raman as the airline’s new Vice President, Sales and Revenue Management. In his new role, Mr. Raman will be responsible for revenue optimization, ancillary strategy, distribution, and corporate sales.

American Airlines has today announced the opening of ticket sales for their new Premium Flagship Suite seats from next week.  Debuting on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the inaugural flight offering the Flagship Suite will be on June 5, 2025.

American Airlines is reimagining their flight experience this month with a fresh lineup of enhancements, from snack-time favorites to seamless service enhancements. For winter 2025/26, the carrier is also doubling service from Chicago to fun and sun destinations.

Alaska Airlines has today announced the addition of Philippine Airlines as their newest global partner.  Soon, customers will be able to book direct flights on Philippine Airlines from Honolulu and Alaska’s West Coast hubs to Manila, while earning miles.
