On Wednesday (September 10, 2025), Iberia announced the launch of their winter 2025/26 schedule with increased frequencies to destinations in Latin America, North America and Europe, and the return of seasonal winter routes. The carrier is also launching three new long-haul international routes, including Orlando, Florida in the U.S., and Recife and Fortaleza in Brazil. Starting October 26th, Iberia will operate nonstop service between Madrid and Orlando with four weekly flights, using a 292-seat Airbus A330 aircraft. With this new route, Iberia will serve nine direct destinations in the U.S.
Nonstop service to Recife will start on December 13, 2025 with three weekly frequencies, while Fortaleza service will start on January 19, 2025, also with three weekly flights. Both new Brazilian routes will be operated with an Airbus A321XLR, for which Iberia was the global launch customer at the end of 2024. Additionally, Iberia will increase frequencies in key Latin American and North American markets, including record frequencies to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. The Madrid–Santo Domingo route will see up to four additional weekly flights, reaching double-daily service. The Madrid–San Juan route will be increased by seven weekly flights compared to last winter, reaching up to 14 weekly frequencies.
Additionally, flights to Rio de Janeiro will be increased, reaching seven weekly flights in February for the festive Carnival season. Flights to Santiago de Chile will also increase from ten to twelve weekly flights, while Lima frequencies will reach 14 per week, one more than last winter. Iberia will also expand operations to North America, with double daily flights to New York-JFK, and up to two daily flights between Madrid and Boston with an Airbus A321XLR. Iberia will also make Washington D.C. a year-round route with three weekly flights scheduled for winter 2025/26.
Iberia’s winter flying program will also focus on European capitals, with four daily flights to Amsterdam, 44 weekly flights to Rome, and up to 11 daily flights to Paris. Service to popular winter ski destinations will also be increased, and seasonal routes to Austria, Norway and Finland will return, along with an additional Saturday flight to Geneva. Starting December 21, 2025, Iberia will offer three weekly flights to Innsbruck, Austria through Easter. Two weekly flights to Tromsø in Norway will operate from December 4, 2025 until March 1st 2026, while flights to Rovaniemi in Finland will operate between December 3rd and February 28, 2026 with an Airbus A320neo.
