Iberia has today announced the implementation of the Electronic Tech Log Book (eTLB), a digital solution that replaces the traditional paper-based flight log.

On Monday (September 15, 2025), Iberia announced the modernization of their flight operations with the implementation of the Electronic Tech Log Book (eTLB). This digital solution replaces the traditional paper-based flight log, offering crews a more agile, secure, and efficient way of working. The digital solution enhances information traceability, automates calculations to reduce errors, and synchronizes in real time with technical and maintenance data. Additionally, the eTLB allows incidents to be recorded directly during the flight, and includes backup systems that always ensure operational continuity.
Iberia’s new Electronic Flight Log Book has now been rolled out to eight long-haul aircraft. This follows an initial testing phase on the Airbus A321XLR. Driven by Iberia’s Flight Operations Standards department, the eTLB responds to crew demands and marks a decisive step in Iberia’s continuing digital modernization process.
