Etihad Airways has launched their first commercial flight with their brand-new Airbus A321LR, delivering a widebody experience on a single aisle aircraft.  The carrier’s inaugural A321LR flight to Phuket was sold out in First, Business and Economy.

Delta Air Lines has announced the addition of seats for Boston’s iconic Patriot’s Day next year, with 40 more nonstop flights to 10 popular leisure destinations across the U.S.  Just in time for spring break, the expanded offer includes new service to Panama City, Florida.

Cebu Pacific and the Bridgestone Corporation officially launched the ‘easytrack’ tire management system in April 2025. The innovative system uses QR codes and an app to streamline aircraft tire tracking, reducing labor time involved in inventory management.

Fiji Airways has announced the appointment of company veteran Captain Etika Tuisue as Chief Pilot and Flight Operations Officer, effective August 1, 2025.

Starting September 1st, 2025, Lufthansa Cargo will market the cargo capacities of ITA Airways on routes from Delhi, Tokyo-Haneda and Bangkok to Rome-Fiumicino under the Lufthansa Cargo AWB prefix.

Air France-KLM Group has reported a second quarter net profit of €649 million on a 6.2 percent year-over-year increase in revenue to €8.4 billion. The Group ended the period with €9.4 billion in cash on hand.

IAG has reported a second quarter 2025 net profit of €1.13 billion on a 6.8 percent year-over-year increase in revenue to €8.86 billion. For the first half of the year (H1), the Group reported a net profit of €1.3 billion or €0.273 per share.

Lufthansa Group has reported a second quarter 2025 net profit of €1.0 billion or €0.84 per share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 3.0 percent to €10.3 billion. At June 30, 2025, the Group’s liquidity totaled €11.1 billion.

easyJet has announced the appointment of Kevin Doyle as the carrier’s new UK Country Manager, succeeding Ali Gayward, who has retired after 15 years with the company. 

IndiGo and KLM have announced an expansion of their codeshare agreement, which will bring Europe and the UK Closer to India.  The codeshare expansion will enable IndiGo customers to connect to 30 destinations across Europe and the UK via Amsterdam.

During July 2025, Etihad Airways took delivery of five aircraft, including two Boeing 787 Dreamliners, an Airbus A350, an A321LR and an A320ceo, marking the busiest month for deliveries in the company’s history.

Southwest Airlines has announced that Peet’s Coffee® will become their official inflight coffee partner starting August 13, 2025.  The new onboard service will debut with Peet’s ‘Off the Grid’ coffee blend.

Alaska Airlines has today announced the launch of seven new city pairs between California and the Pacific Northwest from October 2025.  New routes will be added to and from Burbank, Palm Springs and San Diego, as well as Boise and Spokane.

Lufthansa has announced that Francesco Sciortino, currently Chief Operating Officer at Austrian Airlines, will become the Hub Manager for Frankfurt, while Heiko Reitz, Member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Airlines, will become Hub Manager for Munich.

British Airways has today announced that Cape Town will become their latest long-haul Avios-Only flight destination.  Over 500 Avios-Only seats will be available on the route, with the flight departing on December 20, 2025, and returning January 2, 2026.

Air New Zealand has announced the appointment of Nikhil Ravishankar as the airline’s next Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Greg Foran, who will step down in October after nearly leading the airline for nearly six years.

Starting January 15, 2026, STARLUX Airlines will launch new direct service between Phoenix and Taipei.  Initially the route will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A350 aircraft, increasing to four times weekly from March 2026.

Emirates has today announced the launch of new daily service between Dubai and Hangzhou, their fifth gateway in mainland China.  Flight EK310 touched down at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Air Niugini pilots are training at Airbus’ state-of-the-art facility in Mirabel, Canada in preparation for the delivery of the airline’s first A220 this September. Air Niugini has placed firm orders for multiple Airbus A220-100s and A220-300s.

Fort Lauderdale-based aircraft Azorra has announced that they will acquire 13 Embraer E190 airframes and 36 CF34-10E6 engines from JetBlue. Deliveries of the assets started in July and will continue through the second quarter of 2026.

Airbus has reported a second quarter 2025 net profit of €732 million or €0.93 per share on flat year-over-year revenue of €16.07 billion.  The company ended the period with a consolidated net cash position of € 7.0 billion.

Discover Airlines has announced that they will add new exclusive service between Frankfurt and Shannon, Ireland for summer 2026. The carrier is also adding new service from both Frankfurt and Munich to Larnaca, Cyprus.

At Zurich Airport on Tuesday (July 29th), SWISS presented their new First and Business Class seats as part of the ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin concept. The carrier also announced the first long-haul destination for their new Airbus A350-900.

Emirates has today announced that Emirates Flight Catering has broken ground on a new AED 160 million (US $44 million) laundry facility at Dubai Investment Park.  This marks a major expansion of the company’s laundry service arm, Linencraft.
