Condor has announced that from May 2026 they will resume service between Frankfurt and Tel Aviv. As Condor celebrates their 70th anniversary, it is interesting to note that their first flight, on March 29, 1956, was a pilgrimage between Frankfurt and the Holy Land.

On Tuesday (February 3, 2026), Condor announced that they will resume service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Tel Aviv (TLV) from May 2026. The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft. This reintroduces a destination that played a key role in the beginnings of German leisure air travel, as Condor’s very first flight, on March 29, 1956 was a pilgrimage flight from Frankfurt to the Holy Land. With the restart of flights to Tel Aviv, Condor strengthens connectivity via their Frankfurt hub, while offering travelers from Europe and North America additional direct travel options to the region.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Condor’s VP – Network Planning & Partnerships, David Carlisle, said,
“Tel Aviv combines tradition and modernity like few other cities – economically strong, culturally vibrant, and of great significance in Condor’s history. Connecting this global city across Europe and North America via our growing Frankfurt hub is particularly special to us as we celebrate our 70th anniversary.”
Founded in 1956, Condor Flugdienst GmbH is Germany’s favorite leisure airline and serves over nine million guests annually to over 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and America from nine German gateways, Zurich and Vienna. The German leisure carrier has a fleet of over 50 aircraft which are meticulously maintained to the highest safety standards by their wholly owned subsidiary Condor Technik with facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Condor was the German launch customer for the state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo, and currently has 43 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft on order.
