Avianca Announces Restart of Service Between Colombia and Venezuela

Avianca has announced the restart of daily service between Bogotá, Colombia and Caracas, Venezuela starting February 12, 2026.

On Thursday (February 5, 2026), Avianca announced that following a comprehensive evaluation of operational and air safety conditions, they will resume service between Colombia and Venezuela. Starting February 12, 2026, the carrier will operate daily service between Bogotá and Caracas. With the reactivation of the Bogotá-Caracas route, the Avianca continues to work to strengthen connectivity in the region, while supporting development of bi-national commercial and tourism activity. Avianca has connected countries, histories, cultures and customs for over 106 years, and has offered service to Venezuela for over six decades.

Avianca is part of the Abra Group, along with Gol and Wamos, operating a combined fleet of 300 aircraft. The business units, Avianca Cargo and LifeMiles (with more than 14 million members), continue to strengthen and contribute to the strategic growth of the company.
