Discover Airlines Launches Service to Ivalo in the Finnish Lapland

Discover Airlines has today announced the launch of new service between Munich and Ivalo in the Finnish Lapland. The route will operate once weekly on Wednesdays from mid-December 2026 through mid-April 2027.
On Monday (February 2, 2026), Discover Airlines announced the addition of flights from Munich to Ivalo in the Finnish Lapland to their winter schedule for the first time. From mid-December to mid-April, the route will operate once weekly on Wednesdays. Ivalo serves as an ideal starting point for exploring and enjoying numerous activities in the untouched natural landscape along the Ivalojoki River, especially during winter. Since the sun does not rise during the polar night in the winter months, this is also the ideal time to observe the northern lights.
Discover Airlines has been continuously expanding their Nordic network for the last two years, responding to the sustained high demand for direct connections to the region. Additionally, new weekly flights from Frankfurt to Bodø and from Munich to Evenes will expand the route network for summer 2026. The carrier also offers service from Frankfurt to Evenes and between Munich and Bodø. With the two new additions from Munich (Evenes in summer and Ivalo in winter), Discover Airlines is also strengthening their offering at Munich Airport, where the airline is already the largest leisure carrier.
