Wizz Air to Launch 15 New Routes from Four Airports in Romania

Wizz Air has announced a major expansion from Romania for winter 2025/26 with five new routes from Bucharest Otopeni, four from each Cluj-Napoca and Iasi, as well as two new connections from Brasov.

On Friday (August 15, 2025), Wizz Air announced a major expansion from Romania with 15 new routes for winter 2025/26, including five new routes from Bucharest Otopeni, four from each Cluj-Napoca and Iasi, as well as two new connections from Brasov. The new routes include popular destinations across to popular and much-awaited destinations in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Norway, Portugal, Spain, France and Sweden. In total, 228 routes from 13 Romanian airports are now bookable for the upcoming winter season.
In Friday’s announcement, Wizz Air’s Corporate & Sustainability Communications Manager, Anastasia Novak, said,

These additions across Europe highlight our ongoing commitment to boosting connectivity, supporting regional growth and offering even more affordable travel options to our Romanian passengers. Guided by our ‘Customer First Compass’ strategy, we remain dedicated to expanding our network while ensuring reliable, efficient and high-quality service across all our operations.”

A new connection from Bucharest Otopeni to Berlin will start on October 26th, with flights on all days of the week except Mondays and Fridays. On the same date, Wizz Air will also launch a connection to Prague, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and Bordeaux, with flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. Additionally, service to Turku, Finland will start on October 27th, with twice weekly service on Mondays and Fridays. Starting March 31st, 2026, Wizz will also launch new service to Faro, Portugal, with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
New service between Cluj-Napoca and Marrakesh will take off on October 26th, with flights on Thursdays and Sundays. Starting October 27th, the carrier will also connect Cluj-Napoca with Stockholm Skavsta operating on Mondays and Fridays in winter, and Thursdays and Sundays in summer. From October 28th, flights to Oslo Sandefjord Torp will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays in winter, and on Mondays and Fridays in summer. Starting March 29, 2026, another route to Milan Malpensa will join the schedule, with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
From October 27th, Wizz Air will also operate flights from Iasi to Copenhagen on Mondays and Fridays during the winter season, and on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the summer. On October 28th, Prague and Valencia will also join the network, both with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Service to Pescara, Italy will start on December 9th, also with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Finally, starting October 28th, Wizz Air will operate flights from Brasov to Milan Malpensa, operating on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. Additionally, Starting January 27, 2026, Wizz Air will launch a new route from Brasov to Rome Fiumicino, with flights operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
