Wizz Air Introduces New Routes From Europe and the UAE to Saudi Arabia

Wizz Air is launching new routes from Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Rome, Vienna and Abu Dhabi from September 2022. The Abu Dhabi route will be operated by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Wizz Air and ADQ.

On Wednesday (June 23, 2022), Wizz Air announced the launch of new service from the Dammam in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Rome, Vienna and Abu Dhabi starting September 2022. The new Abu Dhabi route will be operated by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Wizz Air and ADQ, a holding company with a broad portfolio of major enterprises across key sector’s of Abu Dhabi’s diverse economy. Introductory one-way fares on all routes are now on sale from only €24.99 to €39.99. Last month, Wizz Air signed a MoU with the Ministry of Investment for the Kingdom supported by the Saudi National Air Connectivity Programme, a Ministry of Tourism Initiative, in support of the development of the Saudi Tourism Sector. The new routes will support the growing sector, aligning with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Programme, which includes the goal of tripling passenger traffic in the Kingdom by 2030.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Wizz Air’s President, Robert Carey, said,
