On Sunday (June 6, 2021), Emirates announced that with the opening of Spain today (June 7th) to international travelers, the carrier will now offer service from Dubai to over 30 cities in 19 countries. Starting in July, Emirates will offer over 280 weekly flights to destinations in Europe, the U.S., the Middle East and Africa, as well as popular island getaways, for guests who want to start their holiday quarantine-free. Customers traveling to Spain must have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to travel, or can alternately present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival. The vaccine must be authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or included in the WHO’s Emergency Use Listing, including Pfizer, BioNTech, Sinopharm and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines.

Emirates is currently offering 5 weekly flights to Madrid and 4 weekly flights and Barcelona, and will add frequencies in line with increasing demand. In Europe, Emirates’ guests can now enjoy quarantine free travel to Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Spain and France (from June 9th). Customers traveling in the Middle East will enjoy expanding flight schedules to Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain and Egypt, while customers looking for a beach getaway will appreciate convenient schedules to the Maldives, Seychelles and Phuket (from July 2nd). In Africa, travelers can explore spectacular cities and resorts across Kenya, Tanzania and Morocco.

Additionally, Emirates currently flies to 11 U.S. gateways and will be adding service to Miami, Florida starting July 21, 2021. For summer 2021, the airline is also deploying their flagship A380 aircraft on routes to several U.S gateways including New York and Los Angeles. Emirates will also resume service to Mexico City from July 2, 2021. For added connectivity, the carrier continues to expand their codeshare partnership with flydubai, increasing their joint quarantine-free network to 48 cities in 33 countries, more than any other airline in the region.

For an even more convenient and seamless journey, Emirates is scaling up their IATA Travel Pass capabilities on flights to Barcelona, Moscow, Istanbul, New York-JFK, Madrid and London-Heathrow, with plans to expand the service across all flights by July. Customers who want to take the stress out of their summer getaways can explore Emirate Holidays’ tailor made-packages.
