On Monday (September 29, 2025), Norwegian announced that Widerøe has joined Norwegian Reward, and members will now have the opportunity to earn Spenn on flights with both Norwegian and Widerøe.  Additionally, EuroBonus Gold and Diamond members will receive an exclusive status match to the top-level Priority.  Norwegian Reward offers benefits such as free baggage and Fast Track, and members earn Spann on every flight which can then be used on new flights, accommodation at Strawberry hotels, and soon in Rema 1000 stores.

In Monday’s announcement, Norwegian’s Commercial Director, Magnus Thome Maursund, said,

“Norwegian Reward becomes even stronger as members now have more opportunities to earn benefits across airlines.  We know that many of Widerøe's travelers are very loyal, and we are therefore offering a ‘status match’ from EuroBonus, so they get Norwegian Reward Priority and can continue to travel with benefits.”

“With Norwegian Reward, we will be able to offer earning to even more of our travelers.  Today, there are one million travelers on our commercial routes each year who do not earn bonus points. With the transition to Reward, travelers on all of our commercial routes will receive both earning and benefits when they travel with Widerøe.  We believe that Norwegian Reward is the best program for Widerøe customers. The program provides faster accrual of benefits, also for customers who do not travel every week. At the same time, those who travel the most retain the benefits they are used to, such as access to airport lounges where this is offered.”

Starting October 16, 2025, Widerøe will be out of EuroBonus and EuroBonus members will not be able to use earned benefits on Widerøe flights.  Widerøe customers with EuroBonus with Gold and Diamond status can status match to Norwegian Reward Priority, meaning they will gain access to all the benefits of Norwegian Reward from day one.  Customers who wish to take advantage of status match can do so by clicking here.
