WestJet adds Puerto Escondido, Mexico to Winter 2025/26 Schedule

WestJet has today announced the addition of first-time service between Calgary and the Pacific coastal surf town of Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico.  For the winter 2025/26 season, the route will operate once weekly from December 12, 2025.

On Monday (August 25, 2025), WestJet announced the launch of first-time winter seasonal service between Calgary and Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico.  Starting December 12, 2025, the route will operate once weekly, becoming WestJet’s 15th Mexican destination.  Earlier this year, WestJet welcomed three new Mexican destinations from Calgary including Guadalajara, Tepic (Riviera Nayarit) and Cozumel.  Additionally, the carrier announced and extended direct service between Calgary and Mexico City to year-round.


In Monday’s announcement, WestJet’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, John Weatherill, said,
