Vistara is expanding their domestic network with new service to Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The new service marks the carrier’s 31st domestic destination and second in the state of Tamil Nadu, after Chennai.
On Thursday (April 14, 2022), Vistara announced the launch of new service to Coimbatore, their second destination in the state of Tamil Nadu, following Chennai. The carrier will operate daily service to Coimbatore from Delhi and Mumbai starting May 20th and May 27th, respectively, while twice daily service between Bengaluru and Coimbatore will start on June 3, 2022. With the new service, Vistara expands their domestic network in India to 31 destinations.
In Thursday’s announcment, Vistara’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Vinod Kannan, said,
“We are delighted to be adding Coimbatore to our domestic network and further strengthening our presence in the South of India. Coimbatore is a popular tourist destination and a key industrial hub of Tamil Nadu. We are confident that travellers will appreciate having the choice of flying Vistara on the routes and enjoy our award winning product and services.”
Tata SIA Airlines Limited (Vistara) is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) with 51 and 49 percent equity ownership, respectively. Vistara is India’s highest rated airline, with top ratings on Skytrax and TripAdvisor as well as a 5-Star rating from APEX. In a short span of just seven years, the carrier has distinguished itself for excellence in operations and service delivery. The carrier connects destinations across India and abroad with a fleet of 50 aircraft including 39 Airbus A320s, four Airbus A321neos, five Boeing 737-800NGs and two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Rapidly growing Vistara has flown more than 30 million customers since commencing operations on January 9, 2015.
