Virgin Australia Launches Fast Track Security Screening in Brisbane and Melbourne

Eligible Virgin Australia customers traveling via Brisbane and Melbourne airports will now enjoy fast track security with the reopening of Premium Entry in Brisbane and a Priority Screening lane in Melbourne.

On Monday (August 22, 2022), Virgin Australia announced the launch of fast-track security screening at Brisbane and Melbourne airports. Eligible guests will enjoy the reopening of Premium Entry in Brisbane, as well as a Priority Screening lane at Melbourne Airport. The premium security experience will be available to Velocity Frequent Flyer Platinum, Gold and Beyond members, Virgin Australia Business Class guests, end eligible high tier guests of the carrier’s international airline partners. The fast track security experience will be open at both airports on weekdays from 05:00 through 22:00.


In today’s announcment, a Virgin Australia Group spokesperson said,


“We are laser focused on creating great travel experiences for our guests and we are pleased to provide fast track security screening for eligible customers in Melbourne and Brisbane airports. We know time is important for our most frequent flyers, and our expanded security facilities in Brisbane and Melbourne are a ticket for loyal guests to quickly move through the screening process, so they can spend more time enjoying our lounge experience prior to their flight.”
