Virgin Atlantic to Restart More Transatlantic Flights as U.S. Borders Reopen on November 8, 2021

Virgin Atlantic will restart flights from London Heathrow to Orlando and Las Vegas, as well as from Manchester and Orlando and New York, when U.S. borders reopen to fully-vaccinated European travelers on November 8, 2021.

On Thursday (October 21, 2021), Virgin Atlantic announced the restart of more transatlantic flights as U.S. borders reopen to fully-vaccinated European travelers. On November 8, 2021, the carrier will resume flights from London Heathrow to Orlando and Las Vegas, as well as from Manchester to Orlando and New York. Flights to Orlando will operate daily from both London Heathrow and Manchester. To meet growing demand, Virgin Atlantic will deploy an Airbus A350-1000, the newest and largest aircraft in their fleet, on the London Heathrow to Orlando route from November 8th through November 14, 2021. Service to Las Vegas from London Heathrow will operate daily with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, while daily flights from Manchester to New York will resume with and Airbus A330.


In Thursday’s announcement, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, said,


“Our customers are ready to begin their US adventures, whether it’s to enjoy the magic of Orlando or to party the night away in Las Vegas, therefore it’s only right that we offer them the opportunity to fly as soon as we can. I’m delighted that our Orlando and Las Vegas services will begin on 8 November, the same day transatlantic travel reopens. We can’t wait to transport customers to our favourite destinations in the US safely once more.”
