In an optimistic announcement on Tuesday, Virgin Atlantic published some of the highlights for their summer 2021 flying schedule. The carrier will offer twice-daily service from London-Heathrow (LHR) to Tel Aviv as well as service to the Caribbean and Orlando, Florida. Virgin will connect guests from Manchester to the US and Caribbean and offer seasonal regional service from Glasgow and Belfast to Orlando. Virgin Atlantic will steadily increase flying in the second half of 2020, as travel demand gradually recovers. For 2021, the airline will serve 24 worldwide destinations with a modern widebody twin-engine fleet of Airbus A330s, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, A350-1000s and A330-200s (before their planned 2022 retirement). In Tuesday’s announcement, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen said,

“As the Covid-19 crisis stabilizes and demand gradually returns, we are looking forward to welcoming our customers back and flying them safely to their favorite destinations. We have taken the opportunity to pause, reflect and reshape our 2021 flying program looking at the efficiencies in our fleet and connectivity across our network, to ensure it is fit for the future, flying to the destinations we know our customers love to fly. We’re delighted that our popular Tel Aviv service, which launched in September 2019, will now increase to double daily, whilst regional flying from Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast will continue to play an important part in offering choice to customers and connecting UK travelers to Orlando, Barbados, New York and Los Angeles.”
