For summer 2024, Virgin Atlantic will increase capacity from London Heathrow to New York-JFK and Boston. This follows the recent announcement that the carrier will operate double-daily year-round flights to Miami, and seasonal service from Manchester to Las Vegas.
On Thursday (December 14, 2023), Virgin Atlantic announced that they will increase frequencies between London Heathrow (LHR) to both New York (JFK) and Boston (BOS) for summer 2024. The carrier will offer a record seventh daily flight to New York-JFK, and along with their Joint Venture partner, Delta, will offer 10 daily services between London and New York, an 11 percent increase versus summer 2023. Flights between London and Boston will increase to twice-daily, complementing Delta’s existing daily service. This expansion follows the previous announcement that Virgin Atlantic will offer year-round double daily flights between London and Miami (MIA), as well seasonal service between Manchester (MAN) and Las Vegas (LAS).
In Thursday’s announcement, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, said,
