United Expands Winter Schedule with Added Flights to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Las Vegas and More

United expands winter schedule with more flights to fun and sun destinations like Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Las Vegas. New routes include service from Newark to Columbia, S.C. and Chattanooga, and Houston to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

On Thursday (September 4, 2025), United Airlines announced an expansion of their winter 2025/26 schedule with more flights to 15 destinations, including popular fun and sun destinations such as Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Las Vegas. The carrier has added one additional daily roundtrip flight between Houston and Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore and Miami. Orleans. Another daily return flight will also be added between Chicago and Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans and Las Vegas. An extra daily flight will also be added from New York/Newark to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, as well as between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. With this schedule expansion, United will offer 45 daily flights to Orlando, 30 to Fort Lauderdale and 43 to Las Vegas. The new flights start January 6, 2026, and tickets will go on sale later today.
In Thursday’s announcement, United’s SVP – Global Network Planning and Alliances, Patrick Quayle, said,
“If Spirit suddenly goes out of business it will be incredibly disruptive, so we’re adding these flights to give their customers other options if they want or need them.”
Additionally, the carrier is launching new routes between New York/Newark and Colombia, SC, and Chattanooga, TN. New service also includes three weekly flights between Houston and Guatemala City, Guatemala and San Salvador, El Salvador, and one weekly flight between Houston and San Pedro Sula, Honduras. United is also adding extra flights between Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles, and will fly larger aircraft between Chicago and New York LaGuardia to facilitate seamless connections.
