On Wednesday (June 1, 2022), United Airlines announced the debut of new custom amenity kits which have been designed exclusively for the airline by the global travel lifestyle brand Away. Starting today, travelers flying in premium cabins on United’s long-haul international and premium transcontinental routes will be the first to experience the new co-branded amenity kits. With designs inspired by Away’s iconic suitcases and accessories, United will offer three versions of the kits, each containing custom travel essentials such as ear buds, and eye mask, and dental kit, as well as an exclusive range of clean cruelty-free skincare products by Sunday Riley. The collaboration marks the first time Away has collaborated with a commercial airline.
In Wednesday’s announcment, United’s Vice President of Marketing and Loyalty, and President of MileagePlus, Luc Bondar, said,
“As travel demand continues to rise to unprecedented levels, travelers are seeking comfort and quality now more than ever when they fly—that's why we chose to partner with Away. Away's mutual commitment to making travel more seamless, elevated and modern design aesthetic is in perfect harmony with United's brand, and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to be the only airline to provide this unique offering to our customers.”

We are certain this unique relationship between our two companies will do just that, making the travel experience more seamless for journeys near or far.”
As previously mentioned, the new amenity kits come in three variations, each designed to be the perfect accessory for guests to freshen up on long journeys, and to be reutilized on future flights. United Polaris® Business Class customers on long-haul international flights will enjoy the Hard Pod version with a sturdy shell and an interior elastic band that keeps the accessories organized. Travelers in United Premium Plus® on long-haul international flights will receive the sports pouch, featuring a soft protective material to keep all their belongings organized, including other travel essentials. United Business Class customers on premium transcontinental flights will enjoy the water-proof Zip Case version, which is an ideal solution for storing liquids and quickly moving through airport security.
