TUI has added 1.1 million more seats for UK holidaymakers departing summer 2024, giving travelers more choices of departure airports, destinations and holiday lengths. The carrier has also increased seats across 13 regional airports, from Glasgow to Bournemouth.
On Friday (April 21, 2023), TUI UK announced the launch of their largest ever summer flying program for summer 2024 with 1.1 million extra seats on offer. The expanded schedule gives holidaymakers more choices of departure airports, destinations and holiday lengths. The carrier has also increased capacity at 13 regional airports from Glasgow to Bournemouth, allowing customers to fly from their local airport to more destinations than ever. With this increase, TUI will offer over 10 million seats for the summer 2024 season, including 250,000 additional seats to Turkey, Spain and Cyprus, as well as 300,000 more seats to North Africa, and 50,000 additional seats to Italy and Croatia.
In Friday’s schedule announcement, TUI’s Managing Director, Andrew Flintham, said,
“Our customers want more flexibility and to be able to choose a departure airport that is close to home – and that is exactly what the new TUI 2024 summer programme has been designed to do. We want every one of our customers to be able to create a holiday as unique as they are – departure airport, destination and duration are all key components which come together to make the perfect TUI holiday. The 2024 programme will see extra flights departing from across the UK with additional TUI flying from Glasgow, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Bristol, and East Midlands. Each region of the UK will see significant increase in flight seats offering more holidays to those living in the region. All of this adds up to over 1 million extra TUI smiles!”
