The French low-cost carrier Transavia France, part of the Air France-KLM Group, has taken delivery of their first Airbus A320neo on lease from Avolon. The aircraft’s ferry flight from Toulouse to Paris-Orly will be powered by SAF.
On Wednesday (January 10, 2024), Airbus announced that Transavia France has taken delivery of their first Airbus A320neo on lease from Avolon at the Airbus manufacturing facility in Toulouse. The ferry flight to Paris-Orly will be operated with SAF. Transavia France’s new A320neo is configured in a single class 186 passenger layout, and features Airbus’ Airspace XL overhead bins, the latest lighting system, and USB-C ports at every seat. This delivery marks Transavia France’s transition to an all-Airbus operator, and the new jet will be deployed on the carrier’s domestic network, as well as across European and Mediterranean markets.
Incorporating new generation CFM International LEAP-1A engines and advanced Sharklets, the A320neo delivers a 50 percent reduction in noise footprint along with a 20 percent fuel savings and CO2 reduction. The Airbus A320neo Family is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft. To date, the A320neo Family has won nearly 9,800 orders from around 140 customers worldwide.
