Thai Vietjet to Launch New Nonstop Service Between Phu Quoc and Bangkok From October 2022

Thai Vietjet will launch new direct service between Vietnam’s famous island of Phu Quoc and Bangkok from October 12, 2022. The route will initially operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On Wednesday (August 24, 2022), Vietjet announced that Thai Vietjet will launch new service between the famous tourism island of Phu Quoc and Bangkok, Thailand from October 12, 2022. The route will initially operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with introductory fares from $21 (taxes and fees excluded). To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be booked from August 25th through August 31, 2022 at vietjet.com or via the Vietjet Air mobile app.


In Wednesday’s route announcement, a Vietjet leader, said,


“We are delighted to further connect Thailand with one more top travel destination of Vietnam - ‘Phu Quoc’, the emerging island in the south of the country, providing people and tourists more travel options with affordable fares and flexibility. Vietjet’s new international services would help facilitate the region's growing travel demand and stimulate the trade recovery, particularly, the international tourism industry and aviation business.”


Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and a top destination in Southeast Asia that is highly favored by Vietnamese tourists. Bangkok, known as the ‘City of Angels’, offers a stunning view of the boat-filled Chao Phraya River, the spectacular Grand Palace and numerous lively night markets.

Vietjet offers more capacity between Vietnam and Thailand than any other airline with nonstop service from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to Bangkok, and the only direct route between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket. On September 1st, 2022, the carrier will also resume service between Ho Chi Minh City and Chiang Mai. Thai VietJet continues to expand their international network to many top tourist destinations including Fukuoka (Japan), Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Taipei (Taiwan) and Ahmedabad (India).
