On Tuesday (September 5, 2023), Tailwind Air announced an increase in seaplane service frequencies between Manhattan and Boston Harbor due to increasing demand. Starting September 12, 2023, the airline will operate the popular route three times per day on weekdays, and will offer one daily return on Saturdays and Sundays. Passengers embark on their journey from the SkyPort Terminal located at the base of 23rd Street and the FDR in Manhattan, where they can enjoy a private pre-departure lounge. After a flight of less than 75 minutes, they will then arrive at Boston Harbor, where they will disembark as the Boston Fan Pier.
For the return trip, travelers will arrive at Fan Pier’s ReelHouse Oyster Bar in Boston, before taking off from Boston Harbor and touching down in Manhattan’s East River, and disembarking at the SkyPort Terminal. Tailwind’s unique seaplane service offers the fastest connection time between these two iconic cities.
