Swoop to Launch New Nonstop Service From Hamilton to Fort Lauderdale and Punta Cana

Swoop will expand their winter 2022/23 schedule from Hamilton with new direct service to Fort Lauderdale and Punta Cana. Flights to Fort Lauderdale will operate twice weekly from December 16th, while Punta Cana service will operate once weekly from January 11, 2023.

On Wednesday (September 7, 2022), Swoop announced an expansion of their winter 2022/23 schedule to sunny destinations from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM). Starting December 16, 2022, the carrier will offer two weekly nonstop flights from Hamilton to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with one-way fares from CAD $109. The carrier will also offer one weekly direct flight from Hamilton to Punta Cana (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic from January 11, 2023 with one-way fares from CAD $199. Swoop has also increased frequencies on existing sun-flying routes from Hamilton to Cancun, Las Vegas, Orlando and St. Pete-Clearwater. Additionally, several seasonal Atlantic Canada routes from Hamilton will be extended to year-round, including flights to Moncton, NB (YQM) and St. John’s, NL (YYT).


In Wednesday’s announcment, Swoop’s Hamilton-based Regional Sales Lead, Meghan Miller, said,

Also commenting on Swoop’s Hamilton expansion, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport’s Managing Director, Cole Horncastle, said,
