On Tuesday (October 18, 2022), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) outlined their summer 2023 flying program, with an emphasis on scheduling stability. From Zurich and Geneva, the carrier will serve 112 destinations (86 from Zurich and 47 from Geneva), approximately 85 percent of summer 2019 levels. SWISS’ summer 2023 intercontinental offer will emphasize in-demand destinations in North America, and the airline will strengthen their offer to Asia as the region continues opening following the pandemic. SWISS will also increase frequencies to key European destinations, including all-new service between Zurich and Bristol, England. For summer 2023, SWISS’ Geneva network will also include four new points in Northern Europe, namely Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Hamburg. SWISS’ summer 2023 timetable runs from March 26th through October 28, 2023.

In Tuesday’s announcement, SWISS’ Chief Commercial Officer, Tamur Goudarzi Pour, said,

“We are very pleased that, as originally planned, we can steadily continue to expand our services to offer some 85 per cent of our 2019 capacities in the 2023 summer timetable period. In doing so, our prime priority will continue to be maintaining a stable flight programme for our customers throughout the summer season. We have also put a specific focus here on our most popular destinations. And we have every confidence that, even in a more challenging economic environment, the structural demand for air travel will continue to return.”

Next summer, SWISS will offer 64 European and 22 intercontinental destinations from Zurich. In Europe, the carrier will focus on popular cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, London and Rome, as well as holiday destinations across Italy and Spain, and also Scandinavia. SWISS will also increase services to Eastern Europe and Germany, and will add new Zurich-Bristol service, as previously mentioned. In addition to daily service between Geneva and New York, customers traveling from Geneva will be offered service to 46 European destinations for summer 2023, with a focus on popular getaways in Portugal and Greece.
