Swiss International Air Lines Completes Airbus A340 Cabin Refresh

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced on Tuesday that the cabin refurbishment of their fleet of five Airbus A340s has been completed. SWISS guests will enjoy an all-new cabin, state-of-the art inflight entertainment system and WiFi.

Today, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced the completion of the cabin refurbishment on their fleet of five Airbus A340s. In addition to an all-new cabin, SWISS guests will enjoy a new state-of-the-art IFE system, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the carrier’s long-haul fleet. The refresh also includes all new First, Business and Economy Class seats, which are already featured on the airline’s Boeing 777s, and new cabin lighting. In Tuesday’s announcement, SWISS’ Chief Commercial Officer, Tamur Goudarzi Pour said,


“With the completion of our Airbus A340 cabin refurbishment programme we are further underlining our quality commitment, and now offer all our customers the same premium air travel experience, including inflight internet connectivity, on all our long-haul flights.”



The four-engine Airbus A340 Family of aircraft has a group of dedicated fans who will be happy to know they can continue to fly on the comfortable and capable long-haul aircraft for years to come. SWISS operates their newly refreshed A340s on routes between Zurich and Boston (Massachusetts, US), Johannesburg (South Africa) and Shanghai (China). The carrier will also deploy the aircraft on the Zurich-Osaka (Japan) route from March 1, 2020.
