Starlux Celebrates the Launch of Inaugural Service Between Taipei and Seattle

STARLUX has launched their inaugural flight between Taipei and Seattle. This is the luxury carrier’s third U.S. destination, joining existing service to Los Angeles and San Francisco.

On Monday (September 16, 2024), STARLUX celebrated the launch of their inaugural flight between Taipei and Seattle.  This is the carrier’s third U.S. destination, joining existing service to Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Thanks to their partnership with Alaska Airlines’ STARLUX enables connectivity to/from more than 100 cities to Seattle, and then onward to Taipei and more than 23 Asian destinations.  Following the arrival of flight JX032 from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport(TPE) today, STARLUX hosted an inaugural celebration at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).  The new route will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A350-900, before ramping up to daily service in early 2025.


In Monday’s announcement, STARLUX’s CEO, Glenn Chai, said,

Also commenting on STARLUX’s launch of new Seattle service, Alaska Airlines’ Vice President of Loyalty, Alliances and Sales, Brett Catlin, added,

Inbound customers to Taipei will also enjoy one-stop connectivity to over 23 popular destinations across the STARLUX network, including Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand; Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam; Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Cebu and Clark, Philippines; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia (starting Sep. 1); Macau and Hong Kong, as well as over nine destinations in Japan.  STARLUX’s state-of-the art Airbus A350-900s feature 306 seats, including four First Class suites, 25 Business Class pods, 36 Premium Economy recliners and 240 Economy Class seats.


Luxury Taipei-based STARLUX Airlines currently serves 23 Asian routes, including service to  Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Cebu, Clark, Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc Island, Jakarta (starting Sep.1), Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Hakodate, Sapporo, Sendai, Okinawa, Macau, Hong Kong.  STARLUX also offers long-haul transpacific flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.  The carrier operates a modern and fuel efficient fleet of Airbus A321neos, A330neos, and A350-900s.
