STARLUX Airlines Signs Interline Agreement with American Airlines

Following the announcement of the launch of new direct service between Phoenix, Arizona and Taipei, STARLUX has signed a new interline partnership with American Airlines which will provide access to more routes connecting North America and Taipei.

On Friday (August 15, 2025), STARLUX Airlines announced the signing of a new interline agreement with American Airlines. The new partnership creates a seamless travel experience for customers of both airlines with single-ticket booking and through-checked luggage between American’s extensive North American Network and STARLUX’s transpacific and Asian network. Customers will now be able to easily connect to Taipei from many American Airlines’ North American gateways, including key cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Mexico City and more.
In Friday’s announcement, STARLUX Airlines’ CEO, Glenn Chai, said,
“We are very honored to have the partnership with American Airlines — one of the United States top airlines. The partnership will greatly expand STARLUX’s reach into the U.S., with customers accessing American’s vast North American network. It will also increase travel choices for American Airlines customers looking to travel to Taipei.”
Also commenting on the new interline partnership, American Airlines’ SVP – Alliances, Anmol Bhargava, said,
“American is delighted to offer more travel options for customers with STARLUX. Through this interline partnership, customers can enjoy convenient connections from Taipei to more than 250 destinations in North America. We look forward to working with STARLUX to enhance opportunities for American’s customers to travel from North America to Taipei.”
STARLUX's new service between Taipei and Phoenix will launch on January 15, 2026. Flight JX026 from Taipei will arrive in Phoenix at 17:40, allowing passengers to connect to over 40 domestic destinations with American Airlines. The return flight, JX025, departs Phoenix at 22:45, allowing customers from over 60 U.S. cities to fly American into Phoenix and connect to STARLUX’s flight to Taipei (all times local). STARLUX’s Phoenix-Taipei route will be operated with a 306-seat Airbus A350 featuring four First Class, 26 Business Class, 36 Premium Economy and 240 Economy Class seats.
