On Tuesday (December 16, 2025), STARLUX Airlines announced the restart of nonstop flights between Taipei and Manila.  The route will operate daily with an Airbus A321neo.  The resumption of the Taipei–Manila route occurs amid expanding ties between Taiwan and the Philippines.  Currently, over 160,000 Filipino workers are employed in Taiwan, and the Philippines remains among Taiwan’s top 20 trading partners.  With 14-day visa-free travel for citizens of both countries, bilateral business, tourism, and cultural exchanges continue to grow.  STARLUX Airlines now operates 23 weekly flights to the Philippines, including services to Cebu and Clark.

In Tuesday’s announcement, STARLUX Airlines’ CEO, Glenn Chai, said,

“The resumption of our Manila service marks a significant step in strengthening STARLUX Airlines’ Southeast Asia network. Beyond meeting the needs of business and leisure travelers, the route enhances network flexibility through complementary services to Cebu and Clark, offering passengers greater convenience in planning multi-city itineraries.  STARLUX Airlines will continue expanding its network to further promote economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between Taiwan and the Philippines.”
