Southwest Airlines Publishes Schedule Through October, Adds International Service From Phoenix

Southwest Airlines announced on Thursday that they have extended their published schedule through October 30th. The carrier will also offer twice-daily service between Phoenix and Cabo San Lucas and daily service to Puerto Vallarta from October 8, 2020.

Today, Southwest Airlines announced that they have extended their published flight schedule through October 30, 2020. The schedule will include new international service from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor international Airport to Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. Service to Cabo San Lucas will be offered Twice daily and Puerto Vallarta flights will be available once daily from October 8, 2020. With the newly announced service, Phoenix will become Southwest’s 23rd international gateway. Additionally, the carrier announced an expansion of service from Long Beach Airport with five weekly roundtrip flights between Long Beach and Oakland and five daily roundtrip flights between Long Beach and San Jose. The routes will be operated Mondays through Fridays from August 11, 2020. The additional frequencies will increase the carrier’s weekday departures from Long Beach up to as many as 14.


Southwest has recently launched new routes throughout North America, including twice-daily service between Houston Hobby and Cozumel, as well as seasonal Saturday service from Baltimore/Washington to Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. The carrier also recently launched daily service between Sacramento and Maui, twice-daily flights (Sunday-Friday) between Atlanta and Memphis and daily service between Des Moines and Denver.
