Southwest Airlines Partners with T-Mobile for Free Inflight Wi-Fi for Rapid Rewards Members

Southwest Airlines has announced a new partnership with T-Mobile that will deliver free unlimited onboard Wi-Fi for all Rapid Rewards® Members beginning Oct. 24, 2025.

On Thursday (September 4, 2025), Southwest Airlines announced that in partnership with T-Mobile they will offer free unlimited inflight Wi-Fi to Rapid Rewards® members from October 24, 2025. This marks the first-ever collaboration between Southwest® and T-Mobile®, bringing together two customer-centric brands, and keeping guests connected on all Southwest flights, without additional cost. With over 800 aircraft, Southwest will become the largest domestic U.S. airline to implement free Wi-Fi on every flight. All Southwest Rapid Rewards Customers, regardless of their wireless provider, will be able to access free Wi-Fi throughout their flight.
In Thursday’s announcement, Southwest Airlines’ EVP and Chief Customer & Brand Officer, Tony Roach, said,
“We are focused on making sure our Customers have a great experience from the time they book a flight to the time they reach their destination. We’re pleased to partner with T-Mobile to bring free Wi-Fi to all Rapid Rewards Members. This is part of our ongoing commitment to elevate the cabin experience, with free Wi-Fi being just one of the many enhancements Customers will see in the months ahead.”
Also commenting on the new connectivity partnership, T-Mobile’s President of Marketing, Strategy and Products, Kike Katz, said,
“We’re teaming up with Southwest to make staying connected in the air easier for millions of travelers. We’re excited for Rapid Rewards Members to experience free in-flight Wi-Fi from takeoff to landing – no strings, no surprises. It’s just one more way we’re helping make travel a little smoother.”
