Starting November 11. 2024, Singapore Airlines will launch new daily service between Singapore and Beijing’s Daxing International Airport. Located south of Beijing, the airport offers convenient access to the Beijing, Hebei and Tianjin regions.
On Monday (June 24, 2024), Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced the launch of new daily service from Singapore to Beijing’s Daxing International Airport (PKX) starting November 11, 2024. The carrier will also increase frequencies to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) to 21 weekly flights starting August 5, 2024, up from 18 weekly services. In total, SIA will operate 28 weekly services to Beijing from November 2024. With the addition of Beijing Daxing, the SIA Group (Singapore Airlines and Scoot) will serve 24 destinations in Mainland China.
In Monday’s announcement, Singapore Airlines’ Acting SVP – Marketing Planning, Mr. Dai Haoyu, said,
“China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines Group. This new flight to Beijing Daxing allows SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for both tourist and business travellers. With 24 destinations in the Group’s mainland China network, we offer some of the best options and connections for travel between Singapore and China, and beyond.”
Also commenting on SIA’s new service, Beijing Daxing International Airport’s Vice President, Mr. Kong Yue, said,
“Singapore Airlines is the first foreign airline to operate services from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Singapore. We believe the inception of Singapore Airlines at Beijing Daxing International Airport will bring about a renewed sense of energy and opportunities, fulfilling the travel demand between both countries as we jointly work together for more good things to come.”
The inaugural flight to Beijing Daxing (SQ810) will depart Singapore at 00:30 on November 11, 2024, and will arrive in the Chinese capital at 06:35. The return flights, SQ811, departs Beijing Daxing at 09:25 and touches down back in Singapore at 15:50 (all times local). The route will be operated with a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner featuring 36 Business Class and 301 Economy Class seats.
