Scoot to Launch New Service to Da Nang, Nha Trang and Kota Bharu

Scoot has announced the progressive launch of new service to Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam, as well as Kota Bharu in Malaysia.

On Thursday (July 3, 2025), Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), announced the launch of new service to Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam, and Kota Bharu in Malaysia.  The new routes will be progressively launched in October and November 2025.  Subject to regulatory approval, Scoot also plans to launch new service to Medan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia, as well as to Okinawa in Japan during the Northern Winter 2025 season.


In Thursday’s announcement, Scoot’s CEO, Mr. Leslie Thng, said,


“We are excited to broaden Scoot’s network with these new destinations.  At the same time, the increased flight frequencies in the upcoming months leading up to the year-end holiday season will support higher demand.  We will continue to seek new opportunities for growth and expand our footprint in the region, to connect our customers to more destinations, new adventures and unique experiences.”


Service to Da Nang will start on October 20, 2025, and will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A320, increasing to daily service from December 2025.  Twice weekly service to Nha Trang will commence on November 21, 2025 with an Embraer E190-E2, increasing to five weekly flights by January 2026.  Scoot will also operate two weekly flights to Kota Bharu from October 26, 2025 with an Embraer E190-E2.  With the new routes, Scoot will offer 115 weekly flights to 12 cities in Malaysia, and 44 weekly flights to five cities in Vietnam.
