On Wednesday (May 10, 2023), SAS announced their return to Africa for the winter 2023/24 season with service to Agadir, Morocco from both Copenhagen and Stockholm. The routes will operate once weekly on Saturdays from November 4, 2023 through March 2024 with convenient daytime departures and arrivals. Agadir service will be operated with a fuel-efficient 180-seat Airbus A320neo configured in two classes, namely SAS Plus and SAS Go. Agadir is known for its long beaches, warm winter weather and beautiful scenery. The vibrant area also offers numerous activities such as golf and great surfing, as well as exquisite Moroccan cuisine.
In Wednesday’s announcement, SAS’ EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Erik Westman, said,
“We are excited to see the world traveling again and it’s with great pleasure we can offer new destinations this coming winter. Adding beautiful Agadir to our network means we will fly to Africa again for the first time in decades.”
