On Wednesday (October 14, 2020), SAS announced the launch of a new shareholder program that provides exclusive travel benefits for EuroBonus members who also own over 4,000 shares in the airline by November 30, 2020. Eligible shareholders will receive benefits normally reserved for SAS team members with heavily discounted prices on select domestic and international airfares 2-3 times per year. Additionally, shareholders who own between 100,000 and one million shares by November 30, 2020 have the possibility to receive EuroBonus Gold status, while owners of over a million shares have the possibility to receive EuroBonus Diamond status. The unique program recognizes the importance shareholders play in supporting SAS as a vital part of the Scandinavian economy. Further details on the program are available here.

SAS is the leading airline in Scandinavia, carrying over 30 million passengers annually from its main hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm to 125 destinations in Europe, the US and Asia (pre-pandemic figures). The company has targeted a reduction in carbon emissions by 25% by 2030 compared to 2005 levels and hopes to transition to 100% biofuel for domestic flights by 2030. SAS also offers ground handling services, technical maintenance and cargo services. The carrier is also a founding member of the Star Alliance, a network offering around 19,000 daily flights to more than 1,300 global destinations.
