SAS Expands Copenhagen Hub with New Routes and More Service for Winter 2025/26

SAS has launched their winter 2025/26 flying program which includes major capacity growth and new destinations from their Copenhagen hub, connecting Northern Europe to destinations across Scandinavia, Europe and beyond.

On Wednesday (October 29, 2025), SAS announced an expansion of their Copenhagen hub for winter 2025/26 with added capacity and new routes.  The winter flying program includes two new year-round routes, with twice daily service to Vienna, and twice weekly service to Tel Aviv.  Additionally, five new winter leisure destinations have been added, including Marrakech, Funchal, Fuerteventura, Kittilä, and Turin.  Additionally, the schedules have been optimized to seamlessly connect with SAS’ broader network across the Nordics, Europe, and intercontinental destinations. 


In Wednesday’s announcement, SAS’ VP – Network, Henrik Winell, said,


We are entering the first winter season with an optimized network setup.  The results are clear: higher connectivity, better schedules, and even stronger offerings for our customers across the Nordics and beyond.  With new destinations, extended routes and more frequent service, we continue to build our position as the leading carrier in Northern Europe.”

Following a strong summer 2025 network expansion, 19 summer routes will continue into the winter season, including Nordic destinations such as Billund and Turku, European cities such as Budapest, Lyon, and Krakow, and intercontinental flights to Seoul and Toronto.  In total, SAS; winter 2025/26 flying program includes 40 percent more seats than last winter, enabling 55 percent more connected destinations, and 75 percent more transfer possibilities through Copenhagen.
