SAS Adds Service Between Copenhagen and Atlanta for Summer 2024

SAS will add daily nonstop service between Copenhagen and Atlanta to their summer 2024 flying program.  The carrier will also increase frequencies between Copenhagen and New York-JFK with up to two daily flights.

On Tuesday (January 16, 2024), SAS announced the addition of daily service between Copenhagen and Atlanta starting June 17, 2024.  The airline will also increase frequencies between Copenhagen and New York (JFK) with up to double daily service, complementing existing daily services to New York-Newark (EWR) from Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.  During summer 2024, SAS will also offer daily flights between Copenhagen and Boston with up to six weekly flights.  Additionally, the carrier will add a fourth weekly flight between Copenhagen and Toronto.  Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport (ATL) is the world’s busiest airport, handling nearly 94 million passengers in 2022.


In Tuesday’s announcement, SAS’ President & CEO, Anko van der Werff, said,


“Through an agreement with Delta Air Lines, passengers can continue their journey on other Delta-served destinations out of Atlanta.  This development means an expanded offering for SAS passengers, who can look forward to reaching several new and exciting destinations across the Southern USA, Caribbean, and Latin America, all conveniently accessible from Atlanta.”


Service between Copenhagen and Atlanta will operate daily with and Airbus A330 for summer 2024, and five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with an Airbus A350 for winter 2024/25.
