Safran has announced that they have agreed to sell Safran Passenger Innovations, the company’s inflight entertainment and connectivity solutions division to Kingswood Capital Management.

On Wednesday (December 10, 2025), Safran announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement with Kingswood Capital Management for the sale of Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI), Safran’s inflight entertainment (IFE) and connectivity solutions division. One of the world’s leaders in the sector, SPI generates approximately $460 million in revenue annually, and employs around 740 people across three sites, with two in the U.S. and one in Germany.
Kingswood will leverage their capital base, operational network, and expertise to grow the business and help it develop new connected IFE solutions, which have become a key element of passenger experience as the aviation industry continues to expand. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Completion of the transaction is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
