Safran Seats has today revealed an innovative new headset-free sound solution for First and Business Class seats called Euphony. The product will be introduced at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition and has been designed in partnership with acoustic engineering firm Devialet.
On Friday (June 10, 2022), Safran Seats revealed ‘Euphony’, a new headset-free sound solution for First and Business Class Seats, designed in partnership with acoustic engineering company Devialet. The product will officially be introduced at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition. Euphony will allow each individual passenger to enjoy high quality sign in every seat position, without the need for headsets or cables. As an added benefit, the seamless onboard solution eliminates communication barriers with fellow travelers and cabin crew members.
In Friday’s announcment, Safran Seats’ Executive Vice President – Strategy and Innovation, Quentin Munier, said,
“Bringing Euphony to the market aligns with Safran’s vision to innovate and offer the best passenger experience. Our partnership with Devialet, a world leading acoustic company, brings one more option for our airline customers to customize their seat out of a wide range of options available across our full range of products.”
Also commenting on the collaboration, Devialet’s CEO, Franck Lebouchard, said,

Euphony has been made possible thanks to Devialet’s patented acoustic technologies and acoustic tuning experience, combined with Safran Seats’ invention comprised of two Devialet bespoke loudspeakers on each side of a standard headrest. Combined, they provide travelers with a clear, full-bodied, high-fidelity listening experience. Euphony also enables real-time audio content and ambient cabin noise adjustments, optimizing the listening experience without affecting other travelers. Launching in 2023, the product will be available across Safran Seats’ Business Class and First Class product portfolio.
