Royal Brunei Airlines to Launch New Service to Chennai in India

Starting November 5, 2024, Royal Brunei Airlines will launch new service between Brunei International Airport and Chennai International Airport. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

On Monday (August 26, 2024), Royal Brunei Airlines announced the launch of new thrice weekly service between Brunei International Airport (BWN) and Chennai International Airport (MAA) in India starting November 5, 2024.  Flights will depart Brunei on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 20:00 and arrive in Chennai at 22:50.  The return flights will depart Chennai at 23:50 and touch down back in Brunei at 07:55+1.  On Saturdays, flights will depart Brunei at 00:30 and land in Chennai at 03:20.  The return flights will depart Chennai at 04:20 and arrive in Brunei at 12:25 (all times local). Chennai is known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant arts scene, and tasty Southern Indian cuisine.

Established on November 18, 1974 as an independent corporation wholly-owned by the government of Brunei Darussalam, Royal Brunei Airlines is the national flag carrier of Brunei.  The carrier’s maiden flight took off from Bandar Seri Begawan on May 14, 1975, with service to Singapore.  Royal Brunei Airlines operates a fleet of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, Airbus A320ceos, and Airbus A320neos.
