Rex has today unveiled their much anticipated new loyalty program for frequent flyers, Rex Flyer. Customers who enroll in the program before January 2, 2024 will automatically receive 5,000 Rex points as a sign-on bonus.
On Monday (October 2, 2023), Rex Airlines announced their new loyalty program, Rex Flyer, which will allow customers to start earning points and status points across the carrier’s domestic and international network. Customers who enroll in the program by January 2, 2024 will immediately receive a sign-on bonus of 5,000 points, and will also receive double bonus points for bookings made by the same date. Rex customers can earn up to seven points for every dollar spent on airfare, and up to five points spent on select Rex Extras such as additional baggage and seat selection. The rollout of Rex Flyer will also be accompanied by new airport lounges in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with construction starting soon.
In Monday’s announcement, Rex’s Deputy Chairman, the Hon. John Sharp AM, said,
“The program with its superior benefits means we can at last reward our passengers for the loyalty they have shown us over many years as we have fought hard - often against almost impossible odds - to provide them with safe, affordable and reliable air services.”
From mid-November 2023, Rex Fly members can use their points to redeem flights with three reward levels, namely Anytime, Getaway and Ultimate. Anytime redemptions allow members to redeem on a last-seat-available basis and provides maximum flexibility. Rex Flyer’s three Tier Status levels include Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond, which will be based on the accumulation of the relevant number of status points earned. Qualifying members will be able to enjoy their Tier Status benefits from early 2024. With Rex Flyer, all unsold seats will be available at the cheapest reward redemption rate, Ultimate, progressively from 48 hours from departure.
