Starting June 1st, 2024, Qatar Airways will launch new service to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The route will be operated four times weekly as a combined service to Luanda, Angola with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
On Monday (April 8, 2024), Qatar Airways announced the launch of new service between Doha and Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a combined service to Luanda, Angola. Starting June 1st, 2024 the combined route will operate four times weekly with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner featuring 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats. With the addition of Kinshasa, Qatar Airways will now serve 29 destinations in Africa.
In Monday’s announcement, Qatar Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori, said,
“We have seen significant milestones in our 2024 network expansion and this latest addition is particularly special, as it continues our strategic goal of increasing our footprint in Africa. The inclusion of Kinshasa in our network is the latest manifestation of our efforts to improve connectivity to Africa. Qatar Airways has showcased its commitment to the region by providing passengers in Africa with greater choice to explore different corners of the world through our network and our hub in Doha, Hamad International Airport.”
As Always, Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will collect Avios on the new route, and can also benefit from greater savings when paying for flights with a combination of cash and Avios, or Avios Max, when paying 100 percent of the fare using Avios. Privilege Club members can also spend Avios on shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free, Qatar Airways Holidays, experiences with Privilege Club Collection, cabin upgrades, and more.
