On Monday (May 11, 2026), Qatar Airways announced an expansion of their network in the Americas with the launch of new service from Doha (DOH) to Caracas, Venezuela (CCS) via Bogotá, Colombia (BOG), starting July 22, 2026.  The service represents a significant milestone for the airline, as Qatar Airways becomes the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela, and the first airline to operate flights from the Middle East to Bogotá and Caracas.  The carrier will operate two weekly flights to both Caracas and Bogotá.  The flight schedule has been optimized to provide seamless onward connections via Hamad International Airport to key markets including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, and the UAE.

Qatar Airways’ flights to Caracas will be operated via Bogotá twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.  Flight QR783 will depart Doha at 07:30 and arrives in Bogotá at 16:05.  The flight then departs Bogotá at 17:35 and lands in Caracas at 20:40.  The return Caracas-Doha flight is direct, departing Caracas at 22:40 and touching down back in Doha at 19:55+1.  The addition of Caracas and Bogotá marks the 15th and 16th destinations in the Americas served by Qatar Airways.  The airline began serving South America in 2010 with their inaugural flight to São Paulo in Brazil.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways won the ‘World’s Best Airline’ title for an unprecedented ninth time at the 2025 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax.  For summer 2026, Qatar Airways is furthering global connectivity by rebuilding their network to over 160 global destinations.
