Qatar Airways Expands Africa Network with New Port Sudan Service and Added Frequencies

Qatar Airways has announced an expansion of their Africa network with new service to Port Sudan, resumed routes, and added frequencies. The carrier will offer three weekly flights between Doha and Port Sudan starting July 2, 2026.

On Monday (May 18, 2026), Qatar Airways announced an expansion of their African network, with flight resumptions and frequency increases. The carrier will restart four weekly flights to Seychelles (SEZ) and two weekly flights to Kigali (KGL) from June 16th, and daily service to Marrakesh (RAK) from July 1st.
Qatar Airways is also increasing frequencies to Alexandria, Cairo, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, Lusaka and Maputo, and will also launch new service to Port Sudan (PZU). Service to Port Sudan will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting July 2, 2026. Flight QR1319 will depart Doha at 09:00 and will arrive in Port Sudan at 11:00. The return flight, QR1320, will depart Port Sudan at 12:25 and lands back in Doha at 16:20 (all times local).
